The Kandu badge represents the two witnesses:

The outer white circle for the moon, the inner circle for the sun, same witnesses as on the Nepalese flag. The black cross represents the four wind directions (North, East, South, West), the four doors with black symbolizing the earth. Whichever door You come in through, you will reach the same centre: the chi, the pure inner power in the centre point symbolized by the Muthi. The badge was inspired from a very holy temple in Nepal. That temple has four doors one in each wind direction, and in the centre of the temple are four faces of God. The four faces are exactly the same, and every day another door will open with the other three remaining shut. The meaning being, from whichever angle you look, from wherever you enter, you will see the same God and reach the same point. The fighting symbolism is also expressed in the Kandu with the moon standing for fighting in half circles, the sun for fighting in full circles, the four directions for fighting in four angles: moving around the opponent in full and half circles you are able to hit in four directions. The fighting is done in circles and the centre point is immobilizing on the ground.
