Last week has been held the "3rd Indo-Nepal Budokai-do
Championship" in the Covered Hall Stadium in Kathmandu
with participants from Pakistan, India and Nepal. The Budokai-do team from
Pakistan won the silver and gold medal.

On the 10th of February Bal Kumari branch club is organizing
the 7th District level competition.
This competition will take place in front of the Krishna mandir (world heritage
temple) in patan.
The club holder's name is Guru Raj Kumar Shrestha.

organizing a competition.
This is the first competition arranged by this club.

The "First District Budokai-do full contact championship" was
arranged on the occasion of the
greatest Nepalese festival Bada dashain and Dipawali. The open ceremony of the
championship
was done by the C.D.O. of Lalitpur district Mr. Aanand Pokherel. The chief guest
of the championship
was President of the International Budokai-do Federation Mr. Bishwo Sagar
Shrestha.
The Medals, certificates and the shields were distributed by
the Member secretary of National Sport Council
Mr. Jivan Ram Shrestha. As well as Member secretary of N.S.C. Mr. Jivan Ram
Shrestha give away the " Samman Patra" to
President Mr. Bishwo Sagar Shrestha of the International Budokai-do Federation.

The BBC TV has contacted the I.B.F. to make a documentary
about Budokai-do. They will come filming on Tuesday the 22nd of November in the
I.B.F. headquarters. In the morning they will be filming the training in the
I.B.F. headquarters. After that the black belts will demonstrate
Ice breaking, tile breaking, baseball breaking etc.

Yesterday the "3rd Kisipidi Budokai-do championship" which started on the 30th of September in Ghujru Dhara has finished.
This championship was organized at the occasion of Bada Dashain and Dipawali and was organized by Kisipidi Budokai-do.
The
opening ceremony was done by Mr. Nikchay Samser
j.b.r. ( Assistant minister of health and population) The shields and certificates were distributed by Mr. Senet
Shrestha ( Assistant Minister of sport). They both give the speech on
the support of Budokai-do.

A press conference was held for the "3rd Kisipidi Budokai-do Championship" which will take place on the 30th of September
and 1st of October. This championship is organized by Kisipidi Budokai-do club and will be held in Ghurju Dhara.

Yesterday the I.B.F. has organized a program to congratulate Mr. Nikshya SJB Rana
who has become Minister of Health and Population.
Ministers, persons from other associations, many ex-ministers, traffic inspectors, police inspector and lots of
people were present at this program.
At this occasion Sports Council Member Secretary Mr. Kishor B. Singh has given the award to Mr. Nikshya SJB Rana
to wish him lot of success in the future.
Also five little girls and Budokai-do players gave Mr. J.B.R. Sagun egg and whiskey. In this program he gave a speech.
Mr. J.B.R. Sagun gave a certificate to Sports council Secretary Mr. Kishor B. Singh who also gave a speech. He also promised
to promote the Budokai-do.
After congratulating Mr. J.B.R. the I.B.F. put tea, cookies and vegetable program.

Good news for the fighters
The date for the 5th National Budokai-do Championship has been decided and will be held on 12th and 13th of August.
Place: World heritage place Basantapur darbur square
This championship will be organized at the occasion of His Majesty the King's Birthday.

New Budokai-do club at Rangasala National sportstadium.
On the 31st of July a new Budokai-do club will be opened at the Rangasala.
The name of the club is "Centre Budokai-do Association, National Sportstadium, Tripuresor with the head quarter's office in Tahachal.
For this occasion the I.B.F. is organizing a congratulation ceremony. In this program Pancha kanya will give him "Sagun".
All Nepalese associations are invited to take part in this ceremony. President, Mr. Bishwo Sagar Shrestha will give Mr. Nikshya SJB Rana
an award for his success. This program is going to be held on Saturday 30th of July with a tea party.

Guru Puja 21st of July
Yesterday 21st of July the I.B.F. celebrated Guru Puja to Maha Guru, founder of Budokai-do. All branches, clubs and members
did the Guru Puja at the International Headquarters in Tahachal.
A picnic will be organized at this occasion on the 6th of August.
Same day Branch Chief of Basantapur Budokai-do club, Kajiman Shrestha organized the Guru Puja to Maha Guru in his headquarters.

The 4th Budokai-do Weight Category Full Contact
Championship has finished today. On Friday the 24th, Nikshya SJB Rana, central
conveyor of Unity Council, inaugurated the event.
Today was the last day of the competition. This two-days championship was organised , under the auspices of Everest Budokai-do on the occasion of the 59th birthday of King Gyanendra. In total there were 167 Budokai-do athletes taking part. In the men's 25kg, -55kg and open weight categories, and women's 45kg and open weight categories. On the first day, all the quarter-final bouts were held. The semi-finals and finals were held today Saturday.
Honour guest was Mr. Biswho Sagar Shrestha, president of the I.B.F.
In the ceremony a chariot with an elephant was decorated with the photo from His Majesty King and Queen as well as a photo from Maha Guru. A parade of more than 500 Budokai-do students followed behind the elephant as well as more than 1500 friends and family from the students and supporters. They tour around from Bal Kumari to Krishna Mandir, Mangal Bazar, Durbar Square in Patan. The head organizer of this two-days event was Everest Budokai-do with branch chief Raj Kumar Shrestha, helped by Ujjal Krishna Shrestha.

Saturday 14th of May "Bharma Budokai-do club Nieuwpoort" from the
Belgian Budokai-do Association organized the "9th Open Budokai-do Match-making Gala"
in Nieuwpoort - Belgium
This championship was open for all styles and organizations with
almost 200 participants from 25 different clubs and different European countries.
The goal of this competition is to give fighters with none or less experience the chance
to fight one match according to the match-making system (taking into account the grade, age,
weight and experience)

Last Saturday 23rd of April Sunakoti Budokai-do club organised a program in which there was shown some "Bhachne" techniques like tile breaking , latti breaking , pot breaking. Guru Cory Mc.Collum from the USA also broke tiles.

Today the Puja for Ramanawa has finished. 20000 persons came to pray to the International Budokai-do
headquarters for peace and harmony in this whole world.
For the finishing of the Puja a big party was given in the night time with vegetables and no alcoholic drinks.

On this occasion Sano Guru Guy Melard, who has already 3 world records on his name,

The International Budokai-do Federation (I.B.F.) is organizing the Ramanavami Puja starting
Friday the 8th of April 2005. The I.B.F. wanted to organize this Puja to bring peace and prosperity
to the Kingdom of Nepal.
The Puja is taking 15 days and 15 Higher priests will be praying for worldpeace.
2000 persons are expected to participate in the Puja.
The opening is done by the Minister of Sports and Education, Mr. Radha Krishna Manali,
Mr. Neeshya Samer J.B.R., President of National Unity council and and President of the I.B.F. , Mr. Bishwo Sagar Shrestha.
The Puja will be taken place in the Headquarters of the I.B.F. , Tahachal, Kathmandu
Everybody is welcome to join and pray for peace at the I.B.F. during this 15days Puja.
Food and lodging is free for all.

The International Budokai-do Federation (I.B.F.) is organizing its annual National Budokai-do Championship in July 2005.
Place: National Sportstadium in Kathmandu
This year's edition will have an international flavour as other affiliated countries will participate this year.

The "Interschool Budokai-do Championship" has been finished.
The opening ceremony has been done by the Minister of Sports and Education, Mr. Radha Krishna Manali,

The championship was very successful with 15 schools-colleges participating.
